Meet the Doctor

Growing up on Martha’s Vineyard, Dr Gowell spent her early years ardently crafting and creating art. Thereafter, she attended Wellesley College, where she studied Bioethics and Biology. Attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Gowell graduated at the top of her class and was recognized for her academic dedication, for which she was inducted into the Matthew Cryer Honor Society in addition to Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Her interests were additionally reflected in achievement awards in Pharmacology and Pathology, entrusted with tutoring numerous subjects and clinical skills. After returning home to Massachusetts, Dr. Gowell pursued a residency at Tufts, cultivating advanced restorative skills, painless injection techniques, and treating patients with special needs.

Dr. Gowell’s treatment philosophy prioritizes trust and understanding. The foundation of her approach is meeting and welcoming her patients to the practice, spending the time to ensure their comfort, and inviting an open dialogue to customize their care collaboratively and thoughtfully.

With a focus on excellence, she finds joy in restoring a smile to its renewed esthetic beauty and function. Dr. Gowell is dedicated to empowering and educating her patients for a stress-free and rewarding experience on their journey to lifelong oral health.

When not working, you can usually find her at home in Cambridge acting as peacemaker between her feuding cat and parrot, or back on Martha’s Vineyard enjoying time with her family and sailing with her dad.
